SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to install Microsoft Links LS 2000, Microsoft Links LS Classic, or Microsoft Golf 2001, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- You attempt to install the game to a hard disk other than the C: drive.
- You attempt to install the game on a Microsoft Windows 95-based computer.
- The game was previously installed to and then removed from the root folder of the hard disk on which you are attempting to install the program.
RESOLUTION
To prevent this issue from occurring, do not install Links LS 2000, Links LS Classic, or Golf 2001 to a hard disk other than the C: drive.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
