"Error 997" When Using Hummingbird NFS Maestro in Windows 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you install Hummingbird NFS Maestro, the following error message may be displayed:

CreateThisService::CreateService: Error #(997)
NFS Maestro for Windows NT - Client V6.0.1 - Setup

In addition, the program does not browse available NFS servers at run time.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Hummingbird has not released a version of NFS Maestro that is compatible with Windows 2000. (Hummingbird NFS Maestro v.7.0 is now Compatible with Windows 2000)

RESOLUTION
