SYMPTOMS
If you use FrontPage 2000 to publish a page that has a link to a broken image, when you view the image's file size, it appears as -1 bytes in Internet Explorer 5.x.
NOTE: Internet Explorer 4.x shows a blank file size.
NOTE: To view the file size, right-click the broken image, and click Properties in Internet Explorer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, open the Web in FrontPage, and correct the link to the broken image.
To do so, use the following steps:
- Open the page with the broken image in FrontPage.
- Right-click the image, and then click Picture Properties.
- Click Browse.
- Select the correct image file name.
- Click OK twice.
- Save the page.
- Republish the Web to the Internet.
The link to the broken image will be corrected, and the image will appear.
