Summary: Full file and record locking is available for Index Sequential (ISAM) files in Version 2.10. Record locking is accommodated through a central server ISAM. Network ISAM is provided with the MS-DOS COBOL compiler packages sold in the beige and blue manuals. Network ISAM (NISAM) is also available as an application note titled “ISAM and DEBUG Corrections” by calling Microsoft Product Support at (206) 454-2030.
