Summary: When you attempt mathematical operations using data that was MOVEd from a PIC XX field to a PIC 99 field, a “Non-Numeric Data” run-time error is generated. To correct this problem, use UNSTRING to eliminate spaces in the PIC XX field before moving the information to the PIC 99 field.
