Summary: Microsoft COBOL Indexed Sequential (ISAM) files can be ported, transferred, and copied between the MS-DOS and the XENIX operating systems without reformatting. However, REBUILDing the data files is recommended. Object (.INT) files generated from the Microsoft COBOL Compiler can also be ported between the MS-DOS and the XENIX operating systems without altering the source code, although recompiling the programs is recommended.
