SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to install FrontPage 98 for Windows to a Netscape Software Multi-Homed server, on either an Windows NT or UNIX platform, it will fail if you are using Software Virtual Servers on a Netscape Web server.
CAUSE
FrontPage does not support the "home-page" method of software multi-homing Netscape servers.
WORKAROUND
Use the "document-root" method of software multi-homing the Netscape server or use Hardware multi-homing (where each virtual server has its own IP address).
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FrontPage 98 for Windows.

In a "home-page" method of software multi-homing there is a line in the obj.conf for each virtual server as follows:
