SYMPTOMS
If you are using Internet Explorer 5 and you install MSN, The Microsoft Network, version 2.0, you may experience the following symptoms:
- The Internet Explorer 5 desktop icon changes to a Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 icon.
- Internet Explorer 5 is no longer your default browser.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you upgrade Internet Explorer 3.0 to Internet Explorer 5, and then install MSN 2.0.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, reinstall Internet Explorer 5.
