SYMPTOMS
When you click the Help button for a template on the floating toolbar in Microsoft Office 98, Help does not appear.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if the wrong Help folder is selected in the Select Folder dialog box when you install the templates. If this is the case, Help for Templates is not available when you click the Templates Template Help button for the template on the floating Templates Toolbar.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, reinstall the Help file in the correct folder. To do this, follow these steps:
- In the Office Folder, select the Templates folder.
- On the File menu, click Move To Trash.
- Insert the Microsoft Office 98 compact disc (CD) in the CD-Rom drive and double-click the Value Pack icon.
- Double-click the Value Pack Installer, and then click Templates.
- Click Install.
- In the Select Folder dialog box, click the following Help folder:
Hard Disk Name:Microsoft Office 98:Office:Help
- Click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98 for Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post additional information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
