SYMPTOMS
When you open a Microsoft Word 97 file in Microsoft Word 6.x, running on Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, using the Word 97 converter (Wrd97cnv.exe) for Word 6.x, you receive the following error message and cannot open the file:
When you click OK, you receive the following message:
CAUSE
The document contains more than 24 hyperlinks and you are using the original version of the Word 97 converter that shipped with Office or Word 97.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, install the most recent version of the Microsoft Word 97-2000 Import Converter.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Word 97 SR-1.

- In Windows Explorer, locate the following folder:

- Right-click the Mswrd832.cnv file, and then click Properties.
