To view the firmware version of the Quantum drive, use one of the following procedures:
With an MS-DOS boot disk:
- Boot your system with an MS-DOS boot disk that has the appropriate SCSI drivers for your controller.
When the ASPI driver loads, the identification code of the hard disk drive will be displayed. For example:
Quantum XP23150W L915
The firmware revision is the last four digits of this code.

From within Windows NT:
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
- Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE subtree, go to the following subkey:
Hardware\devicemap\SCSI\SCSI Port 0\SCSI BUS 0\Target ID 0\Logical Unit ID
(This procedure assumes that Quantum Disk is on SCSI Port 0 with Target ID 0.)
