XL5: Error Running Microsoft Schedule+ from Microsoft Toolbar

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 5.0, 5.0c

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel version 5.0, when you choose the Microsoft Schedule+ button on the Microsoft Toolbar, you receive the following error message:

Cannot find DEMILAYR.DLL

When you choose OK in the dialog box that contains this error message, you receive the same error message multiple times referencing the following files: MAILMGR.DLL, STORE.DLL, AB.DLL, and FRAMEWRK.DLL.

After you choose OK in each of the dialog boxes that contain an error message, you receive the following error message:

Cannot start Microsoft Schedule+

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you run Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows under Microsoft Windows NT. This problem occurs because the files that Microsoft Excel for Windows is looking for when you choose the Microsoft Schedule+ icon on the Microsoft toolbar do not have the same filenames under Microsoft Windows NT. The 32-bit version of Microsoft Mail that comes with Windows NT installs the following .DLL files, instead of the files listed above, so that Microsoft Excel cannot find Microsoft Schedule+:

AB32.DLL

STORE32.DLL
MAILM32.DLL
FRAME32.DLL
DEMIL32.DLL

SCHDPL32.EXE

Note that this problem does not occur when you run Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows NT under Microsoft Windows NT.
