TEST.EXE from WIN 3.0/MACH 20 Update Does Not Work Properly PSS ID Number: Q70343 Article last modified on 11-22-1994 PSS database name: HARDWARE

1.00 MS-DOS

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft MACH 20, version 1.0

SUMMARY

The TEST.EXE file included in the Windows 3.00/MACH 20 update does not work properly. This file is a basic diagnostic program for MACH 20 and accessories, and is used to test MACH 20 and related hardware. When you run this program, the computer may lock up, or may not do anything.

MORE INFORMATION

TEST.EXE checks the MACH 20, Memory Plus, and Disk Plus boards, in this order, for any hardware problems. It also checks all the memory in Memory Plus and reports the location of a bad memory chip, if one is found. To work around this problem use the original MACH 20 diagnostic program (TEST.EXE file size 32843) and not the one from the Windows 3.00/MACH 20 update (TEST.EXE file size 32763).
