PROBLEM ID: PRSQL9012040
SYMPTOMS Contrary to what is documented on page 69 of the “Microsoft SQL Server Programmer’s Reference,” if the destination parameter is NULL, dbconvert() will not call the error handler.
RESOLUTION Dbconvert() returns -1 to indicate that the function failed. Test for this return value after making the function call.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with DB-LIBRARY (dblib) version 1.1. This problem has been corrected in DB-LIBRARY version 1.16, which is available from Microsoft Product Support Services. For more information, please contact your primary support provider.
