SYMPTOMS
Commerce Server 2000 has a free text search object. Of the parameters that are passed to this object, one parameter specifies the location to start searching, and another parameter gives the number of rows to return back from the search. When the starting position is anything other than 1 and multiple catalogs are searched, the result set is invalid.
RESOLUTION

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Commerce Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
