SYMPTOMS
After you install Crystal Reports 8 from Seagate Corporation, you may notice that your ASP pages no longer function, in which case you receive the following error message in the system event log:
CAUSE
This behavior may occur because, during the installation of Crystal Reports 8, permissions for the registry subkeys and their lower-level subkeys are modified. The permission setting for the Everyone group is changed from Special Access to Full Control. The following is an example of the affected registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ODBC\odbc.ini HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{000204EF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\6.0\9\win32 HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface
