On January 12, 2015, BetaArchive member RubyTuesday posted a topic about a possible Windows 3.0 beta. After the images he provided were inspected, it was identified as Debug Release 1.14.

This build still uses Windows 2.1 shell (MS-DOS Executive) and does not include any new applications which were later released with the RTM. It was sent to independent software vendors, most likely for testing Protected mode performance.

Only debug release of this build is currently available, though it is also possible early builds were debug only.
