Summary: It is possible to set the DOS “ERRORLEVEL” from within MS-COBOL. The “EXCODE” extension subroutine was designed specifically for this use. For more information, please see the “Microsoft COBOL Compiler User’s Guide” Pages 39-40 and Pages 90-93.
