SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you open the Component Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. Two Microsoft COM+ 1.5 server applications exist in the Component Services xsnap-in. Application A is configured to run under the System account. Application B is configured to run under a local user account. You select both Application A and Application B. On the Action menu, you click Properties. On the Identity tab, the System account is selected as the Identity account. You click OK.

In this scenario, the account that is configured on the Identity tab may change for Application B. In this example, the account that is configured on the Identity tab may change from a local user account to the System account. You do not receive a warning message or a confirmation dialog box when this problem occurs.
