Differentiating Between the Add-On Getting Started Manuals
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 3.1
The two Windows for Workgroups version 3.1 add-on kits contain different Getting Started manuals, depending on whether the kit contains a network adapter card. These manuals contain different information about installing network adapter cards.
The Windows for Workgroups Add-on User Kit contains the Intel EtherExpress 16 card, and the "Getting Started" manual contains information specific to this card. By contrast, the One-User Edition of Windows for Workgroups contains no network adapter, and the "Getting Started" manual contains generic information about network adapters.
The "Getting Started" manual in the Add-on User Kit has 137 pages, and its "Installing Your Network Card" section is on pages 15-33.
The One-User Edition has 145 pages, and its "Installing Your Network Card" section is on pages 15-40.
