When you log on to the ProClarity Web site, the available library list may not appear

Article ID: 927974

Article Last Modified on 11/23/2006

APPLIES TO

  • ProClarity Analytic Server
  • ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.2
  • ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.1

SYMPTOMS

When you log on to the ProClarity Web site, the available library list may not appear. Instead, you may receive one of the following error messages:

HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

Error '80180003'
/pas/ProClarity.asp, line 67

Additionally, the following error message may be logged in the ProClarity log:

Database Open Failed: An OLE
Exception occurred: 80070005.

The problem occurs if you log on as a ProClarity Standard Client user. The problem occurs in the following products:

  • ProClarity Standard Client 5.3
  • ProClarity Standard Client 6

Note If a local administrator runs the ProClarity Analytics Server first and then opens the ProClarity Web site, this problem does not occur. In this case, the library list appears if you log on to the ProClarity Web site as a ProClarity Standard Client user.

CAUSE

The problem occurs because the Allow Remote Clients property is disabled in Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC).

Note MS DTC hosts the ProClarity Analytics Server repository database.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, enable the Allow Remote Clients property in MS DTC.
