SYMPTOMS
When you try to run Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 on the Start menu or from a shortcut, you receive the following message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the shortcut for Small Business Accounting may be corrupted.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, delete and then re-create the shortcut.
Delete the shortcut
If the problem occurs when you use a shortcut, right-click the shortcut for Small Business Accounting, and then click Delete. If the problem occurs when you use the Start menu to start the program, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Small Business Accounting, right-click Microsoft Small Business Accounting, and then click Delete.
Re-create the shortcut
- Click Start, and then click My Computer.
- Locate the following directory:
Note The
Drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Small Business\Small Business AccountingDriveplaceholder is a placeholder for the actual drive on which you installed Small Business Accounting. - Right-click the Sba.exe file, and then click Create Shortcut.
- Drag the shortcut to the location from which you deleted the corrupted shortcut. Or, drag the shortcut to the location from which you deleted the item on the Start menu.
