The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0, 3.0a, 4.0 - Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, versions 1.1, 3.0, 4.0

When a field contains a list of values, such as the “Predecessor” field or the “Resource Names” field, the list of values in the “Values” field of Edit Find are compared to the values in the search field as if the values were one long string and not a list of many separate values.

Searches on these fields return the error message “No match.” The search values in the “Values” field must be an exact match for the values in the search field. In cases of cells containing multiple values, it is better to use a custom filter to find all those records matching the filter criteria.
