Problems with COMMAND+SHIFT+END in Page View Footnote

PSS ID Number: Q43959 Article last modified on 03-07-1997

====================================================================== 4.00 MACINTOSH kbusage kbprb SUMMARY ======= ———————————————————————- The information in this article applies to:

  • == Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 4.0 ==

When you are in Microsoft Word’s Page View with the insertion point in the footnote pane, pressing COMMAND+SHIFT+END (on an extended keyboard) or COMMAND+SHIFT+3 (on the numeric keypad) puts the document back into Galley View at the point where the footnote reference mark appears in the main document.

However, if page numbering has been applied (through a header or footer, Print Preview, or the Section command), pressing one of the above key combinations in the footnote pane in Page View appears to delete the entire page on the screen.

To correct this problem, do one of the following:

Method 1

Exit and re-enter Page View.

Method 2

Hold down the SHIFT key and choose Full Repaginate Now from the Document menu.
