Sorting by Case Incorrectly Documented in Word

SUMMARY

The description of the “case:” field is documented incorrectly on Page 37 of the Version 5.00 “Reference to Microsoft Word” manual, in the Library Autosort section of the “Edit Menu Commands” chapter.

The manual states that setting the “case:” field to Yes separates uppercase letters from lowercase letters such that “a” follows “Z” instead of appearing between “A” and “B”.

In fact, setting the “case:” field to Yes separates by character and inserts “a” between “A” and “B”.

Note: The specification for how Word 5.00 sorts by case has been changed from Word 4.00.
