Summary:
The dictionaries for Microsoft Word versions 3.00, 3.01, and 3.02 and Microsoft PowerPoint versions 2.00 and 2.01 are not interchangeable. Each dictionary works only with its respective program.
However, the dictionaries for Word version 4.00 and PowerPoint versions 2.00 and 2.01 are interchangeable. Both applications utilize the “MS Dictionary” when spell checking a document.
PowerPoint looks for the “MS Dictionary” file in the System Folder or in the same folder as the PowerPoint program.
