When you are logged on to Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), if you attempt to delete a message in the Outbox folder, you may not be able to delete the message:

  • If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and later, no error message is displayed, but the message may not be deleted.
  • If you use an earlier-version browser (such as Internet Explorer 4.x or Netscape Navigator 4.x), the following error message may be displayed:

An error occured while deleting the objects. Some of the objects may not be deleted.

This problem can occur because it is not possible to delete an item from the Outbox folder by using Outlook Web Access.

To work around this problem, log on to the mailbox by using Microsoft Outlook, open the Outbox folder, and then delete the message.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
