When you run Outlook using Microsoft Windows NT Terminal Server Edition, and open an iCalendar appointment that does not contain a subject, you may receive the following error message:

The file <drive name>\<path>\Filename.ics does not have a program associated with it for this action. To create an association, double click My Computer on your Desktop. On the View menu, click Options, and then click File Types.

Have the originator edit the appointment, giving it a subject name, and then resend the iCalendar file.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
