When you right-click Microsoft PowerPoint on the taskbar during a slide show and click Minimize, PowerPoint and the slide show stop responding.

This problem occurs when the Office Assistant is visible, and you do the following:

  1. On the Slide Show menu, click View Show.
  2. Press the Windows logo key or CTRL+ESC to show the taskbar.
  3. Right-click Microsoft PowerPoint on the taskbar, and click Minimize on the shortcut menu.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
