SYMPTOMS
When a GET request is submitted to a Web server, the Web server may send the following error message to the client browser:
HTTP/1.1 403.1 - Forbidden - Execute Access Forbidden
CAUSE
This error can occur when there is a period (.) in the name of the virtual directory, for example:
http://www.mycompany.com/test.test
RESOLUTION
- Delete the virtual directory with the period (.) in its name.
- Re-create the virtual directory in question, and make sure that the new virtual directory name does not contain a period.
