After you install Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional on a Compaq Armada 7800 portable computer, you may notice a disabled universal serial bus (USB) device in Device Manager, although there are no USB devices present on the computer. When you attempt to start the USB device, an error message appears.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
