SUMMARY

You can use keywords to easily query for specific topics in the Microsoft Knowledge Base. This article contains a list of the keywords specifically for Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) articles. By using these keywords, you can quickly access common topics.

MORE INFORMATION

The keywords are grouped below under the following headings:

   Keywords Used in Titles
   Keywords (General and Product-specific)
   Product-specific Keywords
   Additional Query Words

Keywords Used in Titles

When you query the Microsoft Knowledge Base, you may get multiple articles in the query results. To quickly identify which products an article applies to, we have added a product-specific prefix to the titles of articles that apply to Microsoft desktop applications, such as the Microsoft Office programs.

If an article is about a programming topic that applies to any product that supports VBA or VBScript, the title will contain one of the following prefixes:

VBA Articles that apply to multiple versions of VBA
VBS Articles that apply to multiple versions of VBScript

If an article is about a programming topic that is specific to the interface or object model of a specific Microsoft product, the title will contain a prefix that designates that product.

ACC Articles that apply to multiple versions of Microsoft Access
XL Articles that apply to multiple versions of Microsoft Excel
FP Articles that apply to multiple versions of Microsoft FrontPage
WD Articles that apply to multiple versions of Microsoft Word
OL Articles that apply to multiple versions of Microsoft Outlook
PPT Articles that apply to multiple versions of Microsoft PowerPoint

If an article applies to a single version of a Microsoft product, the version number also appears in the prefix. For example, WD97 is the prefix for articles that apply only to Word 97.
