Article ID: 172974

Article Last Modified on 11/4/2003

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Site Server 2.0 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q172974

SYMPTOMS

When you cancel a nonexistent replication in the Microsoft Content Replication System (CRS) Webadmin, an access violation occurs.

CAUSE

If you have stopped a replication and have not refreshed the page, the CRS Webadmin shows the replication is still running. At that point, you will receive an access Violation error message when you try to cancel the replication for the second time. The cancel replication code does not check the state of a replication before attempting to cancel it.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0 and Microsoft Site Server version 2.0.

This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Site Server version 2.0. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
