SUMMARY
Microsoft has released Web Publishing Wizard version 1.6 for Windows 98 and version 1.53 for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 with Internet Explorer 4. Web Publishing Wizard makes it easy to post files and folders to the World Wide Web or an intranet by automating the process of copying files from your computer to a Web server. Web Publishing Wizard 1.52 and later provides support for the following service providers:
- FrontPage Extended Web
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
- Hypertext Transfer Protocol Post (HTTP Post)
- Microsoft Content Replication System (CRS)
To obtain Web Publishing Wizard 1.53 for Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 with Internet Explorer 4, click Product Updates on the Help menu in Internet Explorer, and download it from the Windows Update site.
To obtain Web Publishing Wizard 1.6 for Windows 98, click Windows Update on the Start menu, and download it from the Windows Update site.
To obtain Web Publishing Wizard 1.6 for Internet Explorer 5, click Windows Update on the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, and download it from the Windows Update site.
NOTE: To determine if you are already using the latest version of Web Publishing Wizard for Internet Explorer 4 or later configurations, visit the Product Updates page on the appropriate Windows Update site as noted above. If you have the most current version for your configuration, the Windows Update site will list it as already installed.

Web Publishing Wizard can post files and folders to any WebPost service provider. The following WebPost service providers are included with Web Publishing Wizard 1.51a and later.
FrontPage Extended Web
Web Publishing Wizard can post files or folders to any server that is running the appropriate FrontPage 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0 server extensions.
File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
Web Publishing Wizard can post files or folders to any FTP server.
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Post
Web Publishing Wizard can post files or folders to any Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) running Microsoft Posting Acceptor, or to a server that can accept Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Post (also called "rfc1867") file uploads.
Microsoft Content Replication System
If Microsoft Content Replication System (CRS) is installed on your server, you can use Web Publishing Wizard to simultaneously post files and folders to multiple servers. Content Replication System is used in conjunction with Posting Acceptor.

Web Publishing Wizard add-ons are available for CompuServe, SPRYNet, and Hyperwave Server users. New features and improvements in Web Publishing Wizard 1.52 and later include:
