The information in this article applies to:

- Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 4.0
SYMPTOMS
When you use the Histogram Analysis Tool, you may receive the following error messages:
Number must be between 0 and 0 -and- An error has occurred locating a support file or processing data for an add-in procedure.
After these error messages appear, a blank chart will be displayed on your screen.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when you use the Histogram Analysis Tool, and both of the following conditions are true:
- The bin range has a date or number format -and-
- The Chart Output check box is selected.
WORKAROUND
To produce a date- or time-formatted chart output using the Histogram tool, do the following:
Change the number format of the bin range to General:
a. Select the bin range.
b. From the Format menu, choose Number.
c. For Category, select All and for Format Codes select General.
d. Select OK to accept the change.
- Start the Histogram tool.
Do the following to change the bin range number format in the original bin range and in the Histogram output range back to its original formatting:
a. Repeat Steps a and b from Step 1.
b. For Category select Date and for Format Codes select the desired
format.
c. Select OK to accept the change.
