OK, I encounter this bug every time I login and I have tried reformatting but nothing help. I have to end explorer.exe and start it again to get to a usable desktop. Anyone else with this issue?
Windows 7 build 7057 x64
EDIT: I found the problem, it's the NVIDIA Display Driver Service. I disable it from startup and Windows 7 return back to normal. Still I wonder why this is the case since I installed NVIDIA driver specifically designed for Windows 7. It turned out that Aero still works with disable driver.
Let me know if somebody out there has the same issue.

Never leave home without PeerBlock, or you might not return at all.

It also happens on 7000. It happens randomly, about once every month to me, and a reboot solves it.

It must be with more modern Nvidia chipsets, because my Laptop has Nvidia, and I have never had a problem with it...

Running an AMD/ATI chipset, never seen this problem. I hope that it got reported in the TechBeta

Running 7 daily with NVidia chipset and nothing happens.

It's the driver.

Re: Black desktop bug in Windows 7 build 7057
Actually noticed this bug for the first time today, weeks after the install without any prior problems. The odd thing is that it happens with both my MBP running 7057 and also on my lab machine running a newer build. And it happens everytime you restart the machine. It's always fixed by simply logging out and logging in again, no need to reboot the machine.
Both machines has nVidia GPU:s so it's most definately the driver. The MBP has not received any new driver updates, but I did update it on my lab machine... NVidia better fix the bug soon .
