Sound drivers for Windows NT 3.51 VMware

I want to get the sound working in Windows NT 3.51 guest installed in VMware, cuz i ported Pinball Space Cadet from NT 4.0 to NT 3.51, and the gameplay is boring without sound effects. How do I get them working?

Try to install SB16 drivers.

But VMware utilizes Sound Blaster PCI 128... The SB16 Driver may BSOD the system.

If I recall correctly, there's no ES1371 driver for NT 3.51, only ES1370, which is incompatible with VMware's ES1371.

Open vmx file in notepad, and add this line: sound.virtualDev = "sb16"
