Andy's desk has that certain variable element, surprising and even touch of modern jolly.

I bought my second desk from some recycling plant, it has few (acid?) burns since it's from some school obviously, judging from the happy smiley faces that were carayoned all over it.

My desk just has piles of paper heading dangerously towards the ceiling, and occasionally I grab my monitor and keyboard from the corner (like now) and toss it on the table for some commentary.

Absolute liberty leads to dangerous piles of paper that someday will crush the poet.

From my Aunt. I sent her a link to it because I wanted it for Christmas and she got it. The link was a link to the item on the Canonical store.

yeah and drinking some iced coke (while having snow outside )

On the left outside the pictuer there's my HP printer, next to it my UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) and the phone. Behind the left screen there's my external HDD and another USB Hub, right to the right screen there's just some paper and cables and magazines. Anyone noticed the cool Logitech Lego Webcam?

Duct tape wallet - exactly what it is
Yoshi toy - a little figure I found at Target. He resides on my monitor as you see
The Jolly Flatboatmen - a picture from some old magazine
IBM PS/2 - it's my QuickBASIC coding/debug computer where all builds of 8088 POWER have been compiled.
Acer X203H - main monitor for my main system
NES-on-a-chip - got this cheap thing a few months ago, decided to put it in an old network switch that broke
Pants - they do need to be put up
4th gen iPod - that's my iPod, the color version
Wall - it's a wall
Microphone - my mic
Generic black keyboard - a keyboard that I changed the LEDs out from green to red and also spraypainted black
MS Mouse - my mouse for the main computer, the mouse for the PS/2 is not shown.

Wall outlet - where the 110 AC comes from
$20 chair - my chair. that's $20 in USD.

My desk looks like a huge mess right now.
On the far left, I have a 20something inch television that serves as my main display, to the right of it, I have an old IBM LCD display that sits atop my Polk center-channel speaker, to the right of that, I have a 3M MicroTouch that is sitting on top of my Velodyne Servo-1200. In front of all those monitors, I've got my trusty Apple Extended Keyboard II and my Trackman Wheel that sits on my Wacom ADB tablet.

Wish I had my camera charged, I'd show everyone how bad it looks.

Blake.

My desk at my grandparents' house. The 17" CRT is connected to my first PC with the red lights on the side, it came up with 'CMOS Battery Low' for some reason. 6 years and this is the first time .
To the left of that is an old PC, 233MHz Cyrix, 64MB RAM and 1 and 4 GB HDs.
On top of that is my XP netbook (Compaq CQ10-101SA) and on top of the other one is my MacBook. Next to that with the old keyboards on top is a Pentium Dual Core 2GHz, 1GB RAM and 80 GB HD, with XP and 98 SE. The TV is a 19" one with a DVD player. I use that as a monitor too

Hmm. Weird. I've had a old Compaq Presario xxxx (I don't remember) for around 10 years, and it never said CMOS Battery Low...

Batteries don't last forever, and some are better than others, and some motherboards may use more power. They only cost a few quid/dollars so buy a new one or scavenge from another board

Haven't taken a picture of my desk in a while. Here it is. Macbook's on the shelf at the moment so not on dock.

And as I was taking the picture my cat decided to enter my room.

You can see the Dell and XBOX clearer there, as well as my mac power adaptor. My server is the black thing in the right corner.

Don't have a desk here at my great aunt's house in italy, I use the computer on the bed (which is way to small for a person of my size).

Anyways, since I don't have a picture of the bed, I'll upload my macbook's adapter with it's makeshift european cord:

Hope we don't get a surge, there's no ground on this thing

Ground won't protect you from a surge, so I wouldn't worry either way
