Windows XP 64-bit Edition 5.2.3790.1069

Post by WindowsNeptune »

I found this beta OS.
However, I do think that BA FTP doesn't have this one.
If you need, I will upload it to the FTP.

It's not in the FTP, But it's documented on MCB (Microsoft Collection Book), It looks really stripped down and buggy compared to XP RTM (No XP Luna theme, Just classic), i may try the build on real hardware (Athlon 64 3200+ with 1GB of RAM, 80GB Hard Drive) and maybe post screens of it running on that PC :)

I'm very very sorry to tell you that what I found isn't 5.2.3790.1069.
After downloaded it, I found that it is a IA64 Edition of Windows XP which all the files was created in 2001-08-18 20:00.
Sorry to everyone.

However, what is that?

Another version of Windows XP IA64 edition?

IA64 or AMD64?
If it is AMD64, I think FTP has this one, just mislabeled as Server 2003.

The Windows XP x64 Edition v.1069's fre and chk versions are both on BA FTP. But you found that is a IA64 version. AFAIK, Windows XP 64-Bit Edition has two versions, one is based on Windows XP codebase and it only supports Itanium 1 CPUs, the other is based on Server 2003 codebase, just add the support for Itanium 2 CPUs.

However, I found the IA64 edition was finished at 2001, but now the ISO on the MSDN is a 2003 one.

An extremely rare build! Upload it to Tieba, please. Maybe it is Windows XP 64-Bit Edition version 2002!
