Windows 8 7989 in VMware Workstation?

I installed it and it went fine, however when it boots it fails with an error message:

It's impossible to run 7989 in VMWare, since some of the kernel and HAL was rewritten in Win8 M2 and VMWare emulates some things in a strange way, to the point that Windows 8 M2 does not run at all in VMWare.

Now for the Windows 7989 I would recommend using Virtual Box in this case yea i know its crappy you can't move things over other than using ISO's which is a real pain but its better than not having it work at all!

In any case I managed to make due with Virtual Box with all I wanted to do to 7989 anyway..

Nope. It only works in VirtualBox.

Windows 8 works good in VirtualBox but next version of VMware will also support Windows 8.

Today I have downloaded Windows 8 developer edition & tried to install Windows 8 on VMware Workstation 7.1, but it fails with below error,
"vcpu-0:NOT_IMPLEMENTED vmcore/vmm/intr/apic.c" Solution for above error is to wait for VMware Workstation 8 which is going to launch in coming days or to install Windows 8 under VirtualBox 4.1.
