What font is used in old microsoft product branding?
Specifically, ones that look like NT3/4 box art.
EDIT: That last image didn't thumbnail very well -_-

(COPY PASTE SINCE URL TAG BREAKS ON THIS ONE) Not sure if that horribly long link works for others, but I edited it a bit to space the letters away so the recognition works.

Baltica Extra Cond Regular
Rocky Extra Cond Light
Those two seem to be the closest matches for this one.. They still have some very slight differences, it might be that the font was touched a bit afterwards by image manipulation as well.

Re: Microsoft logo font
I think that I have found a match. I used Times New Roman in Inkscape and lined the letters up over the original image, and it seems to match quite well. An example is below:
I think that I have also found out the font family of the actual font that was used. It looks like the font used on the Windows NT package is the same as the font used in the Windows NT logo which can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Windo ... 1_logo.svg . Looking at the SVG data, it appears that the font family is Dutch 801. According to MyFonts.com Times New Roman is really close to Dutch 801, so that is why Times New Roman doesn't quite match up.
