Zune software vs Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player 12

I don't own a Zune, but the Zune software have a superior interface and I use it as my default media player.

I often wonder why Microsoft doesn't use the Zune software interface for Windows Media Player. All it has to do is slap Zune GUI into WMP and bingo, Windows Media Player 14.

Those of you who love iTunes interface, but hate its sluggishness, give Zune software a try.
Never leave home without PeerBlock, or you might not return at all.

Zune doesn't supply Russian id3 tags (question marks instead of letters), so I'm on WMP.

Well... I'm "one of those who loves iTunes interface". It makes large libraries easy to manage, plus, it's not that slow.
Other media players, eg, MediaMonkey (which claims to be good on managing libraries of 50,000 items and more wasn't as fast, and of course the interface as complete.
Now, if you have international music, the fact that Zune soft doesn't support any other characters (or so i read, because haven't tested it) is a down point for it, because most will want those characters. I'm not Russian but use some Russian Chars for artists like Юлия Савичева. I also use some chinese that I don't even understand (not even song titles), but use the chars, so, that's important (遇见旧情人).

You should test iTunes if you want maybe.
And I think... that MS do should work on integrating more than WMP into Zune soft, Zune support under WMP. I always thought that Zune was synced over it...

Good day

WMP12 is fine for me. It does a good job getting album art, the search works pretty good, so I figure thats all i need.

Plus i got me the WMP Classic (6.4) skin so I can rock out Windows 9x style.

Foobar2000 ftw! It's lightweight, and does just what I want it to do: play music.

All I want is music which means I'll use anything to hear music, even the PC bleeper in my old 8086 computer.

I’ve started using the Zune software since wmp12 has difficulty with my tagging.
I love the layout but I still miss wmp11.
