For DOS
Image quality: Unmodified
Lotus 1-2-3 was an early spreadsheet application available for
MS-DOS. It became extremely popular in the late 1980s, displacing the
former leader VisiCalc. Lotus had difficulties adapting 1-2-3 to the
Windows environment, and was overtaken by Microsoft Excel.
Spreadsheet functionality was also included in Lotus Symphony. Later
versions were included in Lotus SmartSuite.
Lotus 1-2-3 2.01S Student Edition is a stripped down version of Lotus
1-2-3 published specifically to introduce students to Lotus 1-2-3.
The Student Edition of 1-2-3 is identical to 1-2-3 Release 2.01
except for:
- Maximum worksheet is 64 columns by 256 rows
- No access system provided
- No translate facility
- Will not write files that can be accessed by Release 2.01
Additionally, the manual is laid out with a focus on basic skills and
exercises.
