The "PRODUCTION Version" is the last known beta distribution of X-COM Apocalypse.


Instructions:
Game can be run using any DOSBox iteration, recommended is the latest 0.74-x version.

Before starting the game, run "setup.exe" to set the sound card to "Sound Blaster 16/AWE32".
Type "xcomapoc" to start the game.

If the original CD of the final release is owned then it can be used to enable music and the cinematics in the beta version.
Simply mount the drive as D: in DOSBox, the game will automatically access it on start.

Additional info:

Resolution for higher res monitors:
1920x1440 to use on a 2560x1440 monitor in fullscreen or 4k in windowed.

When played in fullscreen mode cycles can be increased up to 120000.
When sound popping occurs, reduce cycles by 10000 until it's gone.
