Pop up ads

Post by st.alfonzo »

Am I the only one who finds most pop up ads weird?
I just saw one for an internet college, that had a picture of
a dog in an emergency room, a dog in a factory,
a dog in a classroom, and a dog in an office. Underneath
all of these, a caption read "These could be YOUR
career choices!" WHAT?

That kinda junk is why I use ad block plus for firefox to remove ad's and you can get it from the extention page on mozillas site. I don't know of any for internet explorer though.

IE has a popup blocker, not an adblocker.
Speaking of Adblockplus: https://addons.mozilla.org/downloads/la ... .7.5.4.xpi

On my location's sites, there are alot of animated GIFs or Flash animations of dating sites. They mimic instant message chats, but clicking everywhere goes to the site. One time a friend's site had an unclosable DHTML popup with one of these.
