2001-02: Ensemble Studios was constantly publishing screenshots from the alpha/pre-alpha versions.
March 2002: A closed alpha CD has been released: "Alpha 1 Release March 2002" Unfortunately the community still hasn't own this CD, we only have a picture from the CD.
July 2002: Online Multiplayer Alpha CD has been released.
October 2002: Age of Mythology has been released.
2014: The community managed to find Age of Mythology Muliplayer Alpha and Marketing Beta CDs. They have been uploaded to the database.
2015-16: Some of the content from the Multiplayer Alpha CD have been reskinned and added to the Tale of the Dragon DLC: Bogsveiger, War Chariot. Devs also made available some units from Multiplayer Alpha to modders: Griffon, Golem, Apep, Bondi. They are hidden units in the editor.

The community managed to gather many informations from Age of Mythology based on leftover files, content from Online Multiplayer Alpha CD, screenshots and interviews with devs.
