Windows 10X

Post by ActivateYourTech »

Hello,

I was getting Windows 10X in Hyper-V, however it kept showing the animation of 10X without the Windows logo.
I tried to restart it but nothing happened.
I did not have a network thing because I can't

Any advice will be appreciated

Thanks

I don't like Windows 10/11. I like (best to 4th best): 7, 8.1, Vista, and XP.
Cars I like: Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Aura, Tata Tiago, Suzuki Dzire, and Suzuki Ciaz
New Zealand should win the T20 wc this year! (sad after 2019...)

What GPU do you have? AMD gpus cause problems with 10X.

I don't think so. I have a i7-4510U which has Intel HD 4400 graphics (I don't think I have a GPU). I'm currently on a laptop running Hyper-V from Windows 8.1.

How much RAM is allocated to the VM?

I remember when I tried Windows 10X on Windows 8.1's Hyper-V. It only shows the boot animation (without the logo). Tried resetting the vm after around 30-45 minutes and still stuck at the screen. I eventually switched to Win10's Hyper-V (tested on 20H2) and it works...
For network, I created a new switch since the default one doesn't seem to work.
uh

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you have to use Hyper-V on Windows 10. Doesn't matter which edition you use it on tho, cause you can patch 10 Home to run Hyper-V.
Legends say if you read this signature, you'll come across good fortune. Lucky you!
