I recently acquired a large set of Volume License Media. One Binder came stacked with developer discs (yellow), mostly 2004 to 2006. I was disappointed because out of the four sets of Binder, I didn't get any Windows XP client business media. Yesterday I was browsing through the developer discs and came across two media:
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Architects Developers Testers Suite Windows XP Professional
- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional Windows Server 2003 Standard edition
I was curious to see what was on both discs, thinking maybe its some special developer debugging tools for Windows client and server. But it turns out these are just your average Windows XP and Server 2003 volume license media.
So, whats the intended purpose here?

Yup, installed it in Virtual PC, its plain vanilla Windows XP volume license and it doesn't require product activation, which is great.

probably those disks were used to test those programs. maybe do they contain the mentioned programs inside the disk somewhere?
