Not all Windows ME discs were upgrade-only. It depends on whether it's full version or upgrade.

I have TWO image files in my collection. One is 498 MB and has a different screen than my other one that is 408... One plays a video you can't X out of when you get done with setup. What Part #s did these ME discs have? First has a autorun screen that shows Browse CD, Interactive stuff, then Documentation. The second ISO has Browse Interactive CD Sampler, and Step By Step interactive.Fanta Shokata wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 1:36 pmSome Windows Me CDs (OEM) were bootable IIRC.ibmpcat5170 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 12:45 amThe full version of Windows Me even included a boot disk!

What about part #s for Upgrade only vs Full retail?
Re: Windows ME Installation Media
The full version is bootable, the upgrade version can just upgrade from Windows 95 or 98. I hope I could help with it.

But not all Windows ME CDs were bootable, while someone attempted to upgrade to Windows ME from Windows 3.1

A few years ago (> 2010) in a supermarket in my area they exhibited a pallet of Windows ME packages for € 9 each. They weren't upgrades
