I also found this:

(./NT/shell/osshell/control/bitmaps/nt.bmp)

Not sure if this has been known before; I personally have never seen it and find it quite funny.

Are there any other cool themes that leaked or perhaps wallpapers? That would be cool.

Why does my start button look like this using the Candy theme BTW?

Razzle build system
I haven't tried it myself but it should be quite easy

Code: Select all

razzle offline
build /z
postbuild
after this you should get an iso file, checked version by default.

Actually, examining the code with some friends we found some Odyssey/Neptune references, and we discovered that Neptune and Odyssey were still alive even AFTER 1999, when they were supposedly merged into Whistler:

We found these in some documents, the first one which dates from 04/11/2000:
The UI prototype is on \\bryanst2-email\wwwroot\AutoDiscover\test.hta.
It requires a very new build of Neptune (winmail.dll) because it will use
the checked in client code.
/*****************************************************************************\
FILE: MailBoxUI.cpp

DESCRIPTION:
This file implements the UI of the MailBox feature. This UI is presented
in a window. Other components can put that window in the Desktop Toolbar
or in an ActiveX Control to be displayed on the desktop HTML.

This are some paths where we found stuff:

Start Razzle, go to /NT, then run bz. It will compile the whole code which will take a long time.

Razzle just comes with the source code. It’s in \NT\tools.

This is awesome. Is the Windows 2000 code compilable or is it not complete?

Perhaps someone will take the SP1 code and make an x64 port and modernize it... That'd be a huge undertaking, but hey, it'd be nice. Perhaps a native Xbox port can be made now too.

Hey, i've tried to compile the code, it actually compiles very well (only few minor compilation errors), but when trying to install it, shows that the file ohci1394.sys is missing, i've checked original win2k3 install and did not find that file either, i think some .inf file needs to be modified to exclude that file from loading on setup.

Razzle just comes with the source code. It’s in \NT\tools.
I cannot understand when
NT\Tools\
When I am entering

Code: Select all

razzle offline free
process is started, and after that
"NT\developer\Administrator\setenv.cmd" is open for editing. I am writing just single line

Code: Select all

path=%C:\XP%
and after that I enter the commands

Code: Select all

build /z
and

Code: Select all

postbuild
Building process is started, but it is crushing on drivercab.cmd with msg:

Code: Select all

INFO: drivercab.cmd ' Makes the driver cab ...
Waiting for 2 events (nt5src.Source.XPSP1.NT.usa.x86.fre.catsign.cmd.0 nt5src.Source.XPSP1.NT.usa.x86.fre.drivercab.cmd.0 ) : nt5src.Source.XPSP1.NT.usa.x86.fre.drivercab.cmd.0
and popup window is open "Microsoft Trust Make Catalog utility (US/Canada Only, N has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.)"
when I am clicking on Don't send, the process continuing for a short time and stops, and ends unsuccessfully.

What I am doing wrong?
